Lifeguard Training Oct Weekends
The purpose of the American Red Cross Lifeguarding course is to provide entry-level lifeguard participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until emergency medical services personnel take over. To enroll in the Lifeguarding course, you must be at least 15 years old before the last scheduled class session. To participate in the course, you must be able to pass a prerequisite skills evaluation administered on the first day of class.
ALL class times are mandatory and there will be NO make-ups available. The LGT Pre-test will be conducted on the first day of class. Once the class starts no refunds or credits will be given. Please refer to the syllabus for each day's homework assignments and class locations. Always bring your books, towel, bathing suit, pencil and paper.
